CEE Alumnus to retire after 30 years of service

Mr. Leon Holden, Mississippi State University, Civil Engineering, Class of 1978 (BS) and Class of 1991 (MS) will retire from government service at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in San Francisco Office.

Mr. Leon Holden will retire April 3, 2010 from the position of Senior Civil Engineer at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission following a progressive 30-year career with the federal government.  A native of Cayuga, Mississippi, he received his B.S. (Class of Dec. 1978) and M.S. (Class of Dec. 1991) degrees from Mississippi State University in Civil Engineering. He commenced his government service as a coop intern with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg District. He also has done private consulting work and municipalities in the San Francisco Bay area.

FERC appreciates Mr. Leon Holden’s many years of distinguished service, contributions of the Civil Engineering field, and for using his experience and knowledge to mentor young engineers.
