Civil and Environmental Engineering Complex
Mississippi State University, the James W. Bagley College of Engineering, and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, are engaged in a development campaign to construct the new "Civil and Environmental Engineering Complex."
The complex is currently expected to be over 92,000 square feet of classrooms and large auditorium, research and teaching labs, administrative and student offices, plus conference rooms and library. Dedicated materials preparation, environmental testing, and project staging and storage space will be adjacent to a high bay infrastructure testing facility. Student gathering spaces, secure student project meeting rooms, and student organization space is integral to the design as is space for student projects and large class projects.
Currently, the anticipated total cost of the project is $28,000,000. To date, the combined of university commitment and private donations and pledges totals are approaching $18,000,000. The facility could be available for use in summer 2013.
